Yellow -Legged Asian Hornet
A confirmed Asian hornet nest has been found in Langton, North Yorkshire, by the National Bee Unit as part of their ongoing eradication programme. While the NBU continues to lead the response, we urge all beekeepers and members of the public to remain vigilant. Asian hornets pose a serious threat to honey bees and other pollinators. If you suspect a sighting, please report it immediately using the Asian Hornet Watch app or through the NNSS website. YBKA will provide updates and guidance through local YLAH District Coordinators as the situation develops. - Stay alert, act locally, and don’t overreach. Strong bees and smart defences come first.
